Currents, New Media New Mexico Trail June 17, 2016.

Schedule of events 


Warehouse 1-10 is pleased to present the work of 16 New Media artists as part of the Currents New Media New Mexico Trail opening Friday June 17 at the Water Canyon Lodge Location HW 60 West Mile Market  125. The program will include interactive installations, screenings of 4 single channel videos and animation, a live music improvisational performance to a trilogy of Maya Deren films, and outdoor live performance installation and night projection. The event is followed by a behind the scenes tour of the Very Large Array on Saturday morning June 18 for visiting artists and festival attendees. This exhibition will run through July 2, 2016.

7pm-10pm      Hannah in Li  Performance Installation by Nicole Lewin & Hannah                                                                                           Hughes. Li (理, pinyin lǐ)is a concept found in Neo-Confucian Chinese philosophy. It

                          refers to the underlying reason and order of nature as reflected in its organic forms.

7:30pm           Deren Accompanied, Multimedia Performance Eric Stole and Denise Gilso. 
                        Live Improvisational music to a trilogy of Maya Deren short films; Meshes of the                                                                 Afternoon 14 min, Ritual in Transfigured Time 15min and At Land  15 min.  

9pm                Outdoor Video Projection by Charles Mary Kubricht @ the Magdalena Rodeo Ground

10am               Behind the scenes tour of the Very Large Array for visiting artists and Currents                                                                    NMNM Trail attendees.

12-1pm            Tour of The Lyceum, Antique Telescope Museum and Research Center for Art and Science.
