Warehouse 1-10 is pleased to participate in CURRENTS 2016, New Media New Mexico Trail's 7th annual festival June 10 through June 28, 2016 .
Warehouse 1-10 will feature the work of 12 artists opening Friday June 17 at the 110 North Main Street location. The program will include interactive installations, screenings of 4 single channel videos and animation, a live music improvisational performance to a trilogy of Maya Deren films, and outdoor night projection. The event will be followed by a behind the scenes tour on Saturday morning June 18 of the Very Large Array for visiting artists and festival attendees. The Currents New Media New Mexico Trail Festival brings together the work of established and emerging New Media artists, from New Mexico, the US and the world, for events showcasing interactive and fine art video installations, multimedia performances, single channel video, animation, digital dome programs, oculus rift, robotics and 3D printing, experimental documentary and web based/app art forms.
New Media New Mexico Trail highlights media arts in New Mexico by developing links between organizations and independent artists that feature or promote new media work throughout the state. The project incorporates a map of driving routes that will take travelers on journeys to new media art events and areas of natural beauty and scientific significance, during the month of June.
